Dominvs acquires prestigious double-hotel

NATIONAL hotel and leisure developer Dominvs Group has purchased the sought-after addresses 2&3 International Gate at ABZ Business Park, and is to take forward the construction of two major new hotels with a combined value of £25m.

Dominvs is to construct 200 bedroom 4-star Holiday Inn and 130 bedroom 3-star Holiday Inn Express, expected to open in late 2015, which will deliver much-needed accommodation to the Aberdeen International Airport Zone. While an existing planning permission was secured by ABZ in 2013, for a hotel development on this key plot Dominvs is seeking an amendment to the application, which will include high quality restaurant facilities.

Preet Ahluwalia, director of Dominvs Hospitality, said: "The acquisition and development of the site in Aberdeen is part of our plan to open strategically located branded hotels in key UK cities. Aberdeen was high on our priority list and the location and size of this site is ideal."

The hotels are expected to serve travellers from some 48 national and international destinations served by Aberdeen International Airport, which also connects with key international hubs at Heathrow, Amsterdam and Paris.
