Four new commercial property sites at ABZ

A SECOND phase of speculative commercial units will be taken forward at ABZ Business Park, following the successful completion of three combined office and warehouse premises at the site's International View.

ABZ Development Ltd has committed a further investment of approximately £10million to speculatively constructing four new units at the park adjacent to Aberdeen International Airport, and planning permission is currently being sought to allow work to begin.

The office and warehouse units, ranging in size from 14,000sq.ft to 20,000sq.ft, are in high demand and following receipt of planning consent, construction is expected to commence in June 2014.

Tim Stevenson, director of ABZ Development Ltd said: "We have seen significant demand for sites at ABZ ever since we began our first phase of groundworks - major new hotels, in addition to energy sector technology provider HQ facilities, serviced offices and mixed office/warehouse premises are all being taken forward at the park.

"With constraints on the number of well-connected commercial property development locations available in and around Aberdeen, we expect to see demand continue to rise particularly as we move closer to seeing the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route become a reality. The AWPR will be accessible less than five minutes' drive from ABZ, giving our occupiers the best possible routes into, and around, the energy capital of Europe."
